I remember my days in university learning all sorts of algorithms to compute various problems. When I saw these bubbles structured the way they are, it reminded me of those days and the scene in the movie A Beautiful Mind when Nash writes a bunch of mathematical equations on the panes of a library window and says, “This is a group playing touch football. This is a flock of pigeons fighting over bread crumbs. And this is a woman chasing a man who stole her purse.”

When I woke up this morning and turned on my TV to CNBC as usual, I then switched it to Breakfast Television and saw the horror that occurred while I rested in peace. I truly feel for those who have been affected by the tsunami in Japan and the preceding earthquake. Today felt like 9/11 except this time the terrorist was a natural occurrence but it still ended in balls of fire and buildings being swept away.

Keep Japan in your thoughts and donate if you feel moved to. If you’re reading this, then you should be more content with what you have because clearly it is more than what many others have at this moment in time.
