I remember my days in university learning all sorts of algorithms to compute various problems. When I saw these bubbles structured the way they are, it reminded me of those days and the scene in the movie A Beautiful Mind when Nash writes a bunch of mathematical equations on the panes of a library window and says, “This is a group playing touch football. This is a flock of pigeons fighting over bread crumbs. And this is a woman chasing a man who stole her purse.”

This is another shot from my water series showing fresh water bubbles in a glass. The small bubbles reminded me of stars in the sky except I can drink this sky!

I think this has to be my favorite shot of the water series so far. It’s amazing how many faces the most abundant liquid in the world can show. Thanks to off camera lighting, this shot was possible.

This shot is composed of water droplets on a large serving spoon. If you look carefully you can see the marks from wear and tear.

An abstract shot from my on-going water series. This is a shot of an overflowing mug of water with lots of bubbles!

Spring is coming and just about all the snow has melted (except for the huge snow piles from the plows). Here is a shot from my water series I shot tonight. I can feel the chill just looking at it.

When I woke up this morning and turned on my TV to CNBC as usual, I then switched it to Breakfast Television and saw the horror that occurred while I rested in peace. I truly feel for those who have been affected by the tsunami in Japan and the preceding earthquake. Today felt like 9/11 except this time the terrorist was a natural occurrence but it still ended in balls of fire and buildings being swept away.
Keep Japan in your thoughts and donate if you feel moved to. If you’re reading this, then you should be more content with what you have because clearly it is more than what many others have at this moment in time.

My fascination with macro shots of water seems to be unending. Water just seems like the perfect subject as long as I don’t submerse my gear into its grasp.
